POSITION SUMMARY The Program Director, YACHT (Young Adult Community Housing Team) will co-create with Fountain House to implement and develop a young adult housing program in the Bronx. The Director will be leading a team to build a program to provide resources and real life skills to 25 young adult members. [members are individuals we support with serious mental illness (SMI)] We use a model of community as our tool to do this. The Program Director will lead a team to assist members to access housing, employment, education, clinical services and build social networks and community. This is a full-time in-person position and requires flexibility and creativity, some evening hours 12-8 pm. This position will ensure all compliance requirements are met. Salary: $85,000
Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise three staff, provide weekly supervision, guidance, training, coaching and bi-weekly staff meetings.
- Supervise staff and assist members to acquire the real-life skills and knowledge on their recovery journey
- Ensure apartments are dignified, respectful and safe and operating at Fountain House and Office of Mental health (OMH) standards.
- Develop strong working relationships with Landlords and superintendents to guarantee all repairs are completed in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with clinical supports, OMH, families and families of choice as needed and in partnership with members.
- Engage with members in their apartments around real-life skills, fire safety, socializing and building community within the program and neighborhood.
- Ensure all member's program files are up to Fountain House and Office of Mental Health Standards (OMH), review progress notes, service plans, and all other required documentation.
- Update policy and procedures as needed.
- Involved in the clubhouse as part of collaborative care, provide support in areas needed, and participate in events.
- Other assigned duties as necessary or required.
- 24/7 coverage is required.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Ability to engage and develop relationships with members.
- Strong creativity and problem solving ability.
- Positive, energetic, dynamic, and engaging personality.
- Working knowledge with Serious Mental Illness (SMI), including substance use, and other psychosocial factors.
- Strong communication, writing, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and provide leadership to members and staff.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite skills (i.e., Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).
- Familiar with Foothold Technology- AWARDS Database, HRA CAPS, SLACK, CAVA, and Adobe.
- Knowledge of New York City housing and resources.
- Knowledge of Medical billable services.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND CREDENTIALS:
- Master's degree in social work (MSW)
