As Senior Coordinator, Global Business Development & Digital Strategy, you will be at the forefront by supporting the team responsible for negotiating, analyzing and executing content distribution partnerships with a broad range of business partners, from the largest global companies to emerging startups.

You will be responsible for preparing and improving important updates, performing critical project-related tasks, and ensuring effective communication flows, while closely collaborating with teams across the company and the globe.

You will join a team of data-savvy negotiators and analysts based across New York and London and who represent a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. We embrace diversity, equal opportunity and progress in a serious way.


What you'll do:

  • Maintain and improve documents and tools that facilitate complex negotiations with sophisticated organizations across a broad range of business verticals, by ensuring effective information flow, informed decision-making, and sharing of best practices.
  • Coordinate, circulate and improve regular internal communication on ongoing negotiations, business achievements, and new business opportunities.
  • Perform important ad-hoc tasks (e.g., research) in relation to specific negotiations or projects.
  • Assist the BD team occasionally (e.g., scheduling meetings) and serve as point of contact for other divisions of Sony Music (e.g., Business & Legal Affairs, Finance, Operations...).
  • Work collaboratively with a team of negotiators and business analysts as well as colleagues across multiple functional areas of the business. Build relationships and enhance the overall organization's culture, diversity and performance.


Who you are:

  • A minimum of 1-2 (Coordinator) or 2-5 (Senior Coordinator) years' experience working in business and strategic partnerships with music, media, entertainment or technology companies; international experience is a plus.
  • You are organized, thorough and efficient, able to manage deadlines and multi-task with outstanding attention to detail.
  • You use strong communication and presentation skills to positively engage at any level and work across multiple cultures.
  • You have robust Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills and you can learn new tools quickly.
  • You are passionate about music and innovation.
  • You reside in or are willing to relocate to the New York City area.
