Job Summary:

Provide Operations and Production support for production facilities. Improve the facilities through optimization of existing process, removal of defects, and elevation of operational excellence. Assist in Process Safety related operational readiness tasks related to shutdowns, startups, and major outages.

Principal Responsibilities:



  • Provide Operations and Production support for production facilities.
  • Improve the facilities through optimization of existing process, removal of defects, and elevation of operational excellence.
  • Assist in Process Safety related operational readiness tasks related to shutdowns, startups, and major outages.



Required Skills:



  • Personal computer proficiency {Internet, word processing, spreadsheets), and other software used by the company
  • Strong organizational ability -Ability to with working independently with little direct supervision
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. - at ease when dealing with customers
  • Strong collaborative capability to function in a broader team setting
  • Strong interpersonal abilities to support mentoring/coaching activities
  • Aptitude for Project management/Change management
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with relevant OSHA standards
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings
  • Demonstrated track record in solid safety performance
  • Availability for On-call duty and other hours as required



Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree - Engineering- Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical degree is required
  • Travel required up to 40%
  • Ability to climb to heights 200 ft. above grade and work effectively
  • Valid driver's license



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a related process plant operations and reliability activity is preferred or a graduate of Messer's Graduate Development Program {GDP) Experience in operational excellence
  • Six Sigma certification a plus
