Electrician

The primary purpose of the Electrician is to install, repair and maintain electrically powered systems and equipment following accepted procedures and techniques of the electrical trade. This position installs electrical distribution panels, conduit and wiring, branch circuits, lighting, and receptacle devices inside buildings and out. This position is considered essential during inclement weather and school closings.

Duties:

Maintain Commercial and residential electrical systems and equipment. Install residential and commercial wiring in college houses and buildings.

Install underground electrical and telecommunication conduits. Install energy efficient lighting inside and out.

Log work hours and a description of work done and material used on Work Orders.

Regularly scheduled on-call duty required.

Requirements:

HS or GED; Valid NC Driver's License required; Five years of experience. Experience in residential and commercial installations and maintenance of electrical systems.

Preferred:

Knowledge of high voltage systems. Limited electrical license.
