This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will manufacture, assemble, and test hardware for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of transforming the way rockets are made and operated. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.

    • Monday- Friday: 7:00 AM- 3:30 PM

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Cuts, shears, chamfers, and visually inspect charges for inclusions from bar stock to meet the required weight outlined by Engineering (product criteria) and the standard operating procedures or activity instructions which requires moderate mental and visual effort

  • Read all available instructions and assist caster to cast molds in accordance with established techniques

  • Responsible for proper mold positioning, lower chamber cleaning, and the control of variables affecting solidification and mold cooling

  • Required to load and unload ovens

  • Cuts required kaowool and wraps mold per work instructions

  • Must be able to operate the required piece of mobile equipment for this area.

  • Rotates through each job duty as required

  • Must follow work instructions, SOP's, and activity instructions that govern each job task

  • Machines and work area are to be kept clean and in orderly condition. Supervisor is to be notified immediately of equipment or machinery malfunctions.

  • Performs other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED

  • All experience in aerospace manufacturing, integration, or other relevant field will be considered

  • Ability to work effectively with a strong work ethic and close attention to detail in a fast-paced dynamic team environment with rapidly changing roles and responsibilities

  • Ability to interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, and test procedures

  • Basic computer skills such as Windows, Microsoft Office, etc.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to climb ladders/stairs and work in small restricted areas

  • Perform repetitive work including lifting of heavy items, >50lbs

  • Work off-shift, extended hours overtime, and weekends if/when necessary

  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry certification, trade school training and/or degree in related field

  • Military experience

  • Experienced in handling large aerospace components

  • Experienced in a team-based Lean Manufacturing environment

Compensation Range for:

WA applicants is $22.01-$30.82

Other site ranges may differ

Paid Time Off: Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays.
