Summary:

Power Solutions International participates in E-Verify. This role is 100% onsite reporting to our office in Wood Dale, IL. We are currently not offering Sponsorship or Relocation Assistance for this role.

Under the direction of the company VP IT, the Director of Information Technology will be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team. The Director of Information Technology oversees specific functions within the IT department, collaborating with various client groups across the company to identify and implement IT solutions that support business needs. This role requires strong customer focus, leadership, and an understanding of technology trends and business processes.

Essential Responsibilities:



  • Partner with VP IT to develop and execute IT strategy in alignment with the company's overall business objectives. Identify emerging technology trends and assess their potential impact on the business. Plan and manage the implementation of IT initiatives to support business growth and efficiency.
  • Lead and build a team of IT professionals and vendor partner relationships. Interview and select staff and vendors. Responsible for performance management to include conducting performance reviews, providing performance feedback, coaching, and training.
  • Ensure internal applications are managed effectively to support the needs of various company operations and support functions. Oversee a team responsible for the maintenance, enhancement and optimization of systems.
  • Lead Robotic Process Automation (RPA) development to drive efficiency improvement and company web development efforts. Manage the company ERP system and associated vendor relationships.
  • Ensure the creation and process improvement of business reports using the ERP system, Crystal reports or SSRS as requested by the user community.
  • Manage MS environment (.Net, SQL) and the response to incoming requests regarding network, software, and hardware or end user problems. Maintain internet infrastructure and overall central network.
  • Create, improve, strengthen existing IT policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with strong internal controls.
  • Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules and lead IT SOX controls.



Qualifications

Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in managing information systems, including 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience in IT.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting operations function as an IT Leader.
  • Operational knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards.
  • Experience with ERP systems required, Epicor/Vantage is preferred.
  • Ability to act as a business partner, understanding the voice of customers, standards and the process for analyzing and recommending solutions to address business needs.
  • Excellent leadership skills with an ability to lead, guide, motivate, and delegate to deliver results, build teams and capabilities, embrace change, drive decisions and outcomes, embrace culture and inclusion, and exhibit integrity.



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with website maintenance and development.
  • Experience with MS applications and MS SQL.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Active Directory and SharePoint (MOSS).
  • Knowledge of reporting tools such as SQL Reporting, including-SSRS and SSIS.
  • Experience with IT/software enhancements, and process improvement environments.
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) preferred.

  • Highly effective communication skills (verbal and written).
